Girls Camp 2008

So I went to girls camp as the ward leader. We went to Camp Firewalker by Wellington Lake. GORGEOUS!!!! It was a lot of fun to be challenged. There was some high rope walking, repelling, tree swinging, swimming, canoeing, and rain! The girls got right up and walked on the ropes, and I thought I should be able to do it too. It's easier to be at the bottom to tell the girls what and how to do it, but when you are 40 feet off the ground and hooked to a cable, it's pretty intimidating. For a second you get the nerves going because you are so high up, but once you get moving it isn't so bad. It challenged my muscles, as you have to climb trees and hold yourself up and maneuver. Take a look at the pictures, although they don't do it justice.

The area up there is beautiful. It rained during the night 2 times and rained most of the day one day. The girls were fun to be with and were patient with us "old" leaders.

I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this year!
